    gs911 problems
    « on: 2017-06-04 19:49:05 »
Is there anyone around the okc metro area(or willing to travel here) that is a gs911 guru.  I've had the gs911 wifi for over a year and it is a fight overtime I try to use it.  pretty much everytime I want to use it i end up deleting all the program files off the cpu and setting it all back up again which takes a very long time.  I would be willing to pay someone that can get me set up.  not looking for online advise on how to set it up I've done that several times with no luck I want someone who knows what they are doing to put hands on this thing.

You know I messed with it for about 10 minuets and said bag it!  I just use the USB cable and call it a day.  Foolproof and works every time.

        Same as above post
USB cable much simpler and hassle free

I've had ok luck with the usb cable but even then It seems to have communication issues and for the price I'd really like to see this thing work as intended, plus I'd like to be able to use the mobile app on my phone while on the road.

            Totally understand!

If I am on the road I have a laptop so never a issue for me.

I am sure if you got them on the phone or on a e-mail with specifics they will help you.

I guess I should try it again.  There it the app proper, and then there is a wifi setup app.

Hell it is raining here so may as well play around a bit.

I think you just give it a IP address and then use you phone app to connect.  I know sounds simple.

My question is do you need to be on a a specific network IP?  Like my phone is connected to my house internet, but do I need to set the IP and sub-net on the GS-911 as non routable network and then set it up on my phone to connect to that network?

Anyone have this working and provide IP settings?

            I will fool around today.
