    Lean-sensitive ABS
    « on:Yesterday at 06:00 »
I have read that the R1250RT comes with lean-sensitive ABS.
Was this ever fitted to the R1200RT and, if so, from what model year or vin number ?
    My 4th R1200RT = 2016 (2017 MY) R1200RT LE

This thread from BMWMOA, https://forums.bmwmoa.org/showthread.php?86675-2017-r1200rt-and-ABS-pro-opinions suggests ABS Pro was fitted to 2017 R1200RT's.

You've got me smiling, Smily.  I feel the same way about the ABS.  I don't want to test it until the urgent need arises.  Why tempt fate?  I did have occasion to experience ABS on a rental bike in France, and was immensely pleased when a panic stop was panic free.  It stopped straight, true and quickly in a situation where my other bikes would have had the rear wheel trying to get ahead of the front.  Along with air-conditioning and ATM's, ABS is one of my favorite pieces of tech.
