More newbie questions: 2015 vs 2016?
    « on: 2021-02-07 17:53:27 »
    Hi All,
I'm looking at several R1200s and was curious as to the difference between the 2015 (and earlier) and 2016s; I was told that there may have been an engine update, but they weren't sure.
Any known issues I should look out for?
    Current ride is a 2018 S1000XR.

    TIA,
    KevinL

There's no difference between '15 and '16 wetheads. The '17 got improved
with a gearbox refinement and some subtle changes in the data displayed by the BMW SatNav screen.

Thanks for completing my answer. Somehow the end of my reply got cut. Probably my big fingers. LOL
