Sadly it is back to the drawing board.  The Zumo I have is the 590LM and the adapter is not compatible.  Off to rethink a solution!

    There is this one https://www.adapter3dmotorrad.it/prodotto/lmzumo-rt/

But that to me looks like a 390/395/396 not sure if the 590 would fit in the aperture with that adaptor

Adjusting the wiring to suit would be easy enough its whether the 590 would actually fit in as from memory it is a little bulkier than the XT

Enquired with the seller .  He was very good and came back to say it’s not compatible and they don’t do a an adapter for the 590.  Hornig in Germany do a specific mount and I’ll run the power from the cansmart. A bit extra work but important that I have journeys recorded to claim the mileage allowance![/size]

      Bugger! thats a shame!

Although I would use it as an excuse to upgrade to the zumo XT

I might actually do that once I have the ability to upgrade.  Just had a wedding and a graduation in the space of a week!  My needs are certainly down the pecking order for the foreseeable!

Thanks for the guidance.   “Every little helps” - other supermarkets are available!
