Which Baglux tank bag fits the RT?

I appreciate that the Baglux tank covers may be a spent fashion nowadays, so for those few that have them fitted, what model tank bag do you use?


The bags are pretty pricey and I’d hate to pay out for one that doesn’t fit the bike.

I'd like to know that too, Steve, as I still have a good bag lounging around from a previous bike.   My understanding so far is that on the water boxer RT's the bag winds up sitting at a steep angle on the rear face of the 'tank hump' and clashes with my well-fed six-pack...

Kinda what I expected… the choice isn’t made any more easy by Baglux UK seem to be using Ebay as their chosen sales medium.


If I can remember back 50+ years to my school french lessons I may even ring Baglux France.

I’m just about to take ownership of a 2019 1250rt next week, I’ve always used bagster / baglux tank harnesses on previous bikes to add protection to the tank and that bit of padded leg comfort. I’m struggling to see if they do a white and black harness for a white bike ?, also thanks Steve for asking, not sure what size or model bag would fit okay ?.

I’ve just tried my old Baglux Evosign bag on the bike, and the slope on the tank precludes using that particular model.


There is however the Bagster Adventure tabs bag which is pre-shaped, but I am unable to make out as to whether there are the fixing points to correspond with the cover. As there is effectively no Baglux UK anymore I will send Baglux.fr and .de emails to try and clarify this point.


It seems strange that they would continue to sell the tank cover for the RTLC if there are no bags that fit on it.

That looks nice on a black RT, I can see by the rear clips it’s well down the back of the tank, I will probably not bother and just get tank protectors instead, shame as I liked to carry heavier items in the tank bag.

I gave up looking,there was 1 that has longer straps so the bag sits higher up but i didn't like the look of it.I ended up buying a handle bar bag(from someone on here,thanks again👍)and i use a thigh bag,does everything i need along with the bike cubby hole.And yes,the tank cover suits the bike,i do like the look of them on bikes.........My GSF1250 Hooligan has one as well😎

I do not know about the larger Baglux tank-bags, but I have small one that fits my 2020 RT just fine. It was one of the smaller Baglux tank bags (18l?) when I got it and it has been on all my R'RTs since the 1150.

Sorry for the delay in replying, here is a photo. But there is nothing on the tank-bag to say what model it is I am afraid.
