Re: Norway

On route to Norway, we will be travelling through Denmark & Sweden. I have read that both Denmark & Sweden will accept Euros, but not Norway, only Krone. Please can anyone confirm if this is the case, thanks. A short reply from Aachen in Germany  ^-^ You will not be able to use eur...

Re: How to make this the ultimate site for 1200RT owners

I would gladly run a website sticker on my rt, my truck and my wife's car to help spread the word. Going on a trip next weekend to watch the World Superbike races at Laguna Seca and would be glad to pass out to rt owners forum stickers. That would be nice  :) We need to have more inbound l...

Re: Up into the snow - in Norway

That's put the snow on the Grossglockner I had 2 weeks ago to shame, and no busses, cyclists or camper vans in sight. Respect. Campers are always a challenge up here  :-X They stop absolutely everywhere on the road - and I have stopped an asked them what in h? ??? ? they are thinking off. ...

Re: Up into the snow - in Norway

Quite apart from my dislike of intense cold, I think I'd be very worried about ice on the road making it rather dangerous for a bike, especially on the bends. Did that bother you or don't you have ice on those roads, which presumably were cleared by a snowplough vehicle. At -2c in the ear - it will...

Re: Testride my new RT on gravel road

:ninja:  Why would you knowingly take an RT on that terrain, yeah on it if you was lost, but surely not for fun. What tyres are using and did you have panniers on? You must either be a Jedi Knight or a Norge Ninja. I hope you didn't mess it up. The tires is normal Metzeler’s Roadtec Z8 Int...

Re: Charging bluetooth helmet com

You can charge it when riding the bike, but you can't use it and charge it at the same time. So - if empty - switch it off and plug the mini usb cable into a 12v->usb charger - and charge it when riding. The battery on bmw bt unit is a 2000mAh Ni-mH  and I would not leave it on charge from...

Re: Ordered a new 2015 RT - yesterday

What is the bike2bike antenna?  Is it a 440mhz or something for Ham? Curious for a link since it looks almost stock. It's for my Midland G8- 446Mhz unit. Modified to have 3Watt output - and with the external antenna - works like a "pro"  8) The antenna is made by me. A B...

Re: Ordered a new 2015 RT - yesterday

And you have filled in the holes in the frame.  Are you still missing the GTL ? Well - it's two totally different animals - and not easy to compare. But - yes I miss the engine  ;) I only have a few 1000 km, but find it to be a nice bike. It will take me a year to really decide&am...

Some photos taken from my new RT, showing the LED lights, Bike2Bike antenna mount and the weather kit
You can also see the peg lowering-kit mounted. Gives me about 20mm more knee room
