Hi Tor
welcome to the forum.
Your RT is perfectly normal. The ESA only operates when the ignition is ON, so when the the ignition is OFF, the suspension wont work.

Re: MIRRORS
I don't like mirrors with restricted views or that vibrate at speed. The ones on my new RT are probably the best I've ever had. the only downside of them being mounted so low down is that I can't admire myself in them... Made chuckle that.... :)) I also think the new RT mirrors are excell...

Re: LC headlight bulb change
Changing the H7 bulb is a bit fiddly, but i've managed it in about 10 minutes with little effort. Its all done blind, but its quite simple. just kneel/sit down in front of the bike, and reach up under and behind the headlight. Twist off the circular plastic cover (anti-clockwise), pull off the conne...

Re: RT Models since 1978
I've ridden/tested all the RT models from 1995 - on, but only bought the latest LC model, as I always preferred the GS/GSA's (until now).

Got the splash guards fitted to my bike today. The dealer did it free of charge, as these were the first they had done. As you can see, I tested them in the rain and they worked a teat at keeping all the crud of our boots. Before http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/Yonkyo/DSC_0003_4_zps22b3m3j5...

Re: How Many Use A Camera When Riding
I use a Drift Ghost HD attached to my Helmet, but only for certain special rides. Too much hassle to do on a daily basis. I have also experimented with it fixed to the bike, but find best results fixed to the helmet. Heres one i did on my Diavel http://youtu.be/8jF5Hajyjs0?list=UUvOfJJ2LhR...
