Re: Time for new tyres soon

Just a comment I heard from the sales guys at Pidcocks.  When the 1200 first arrived last March they received some with Contis on and some with Z8s. They reckoned the Z8s gave a much more planted feel especially with a top box on.  New Conti going on tomorrow. But when the front i...

Re: Time for new tyres soon

Well, after 6500 miles of abuse, i think its about time for a new rear Conti. I cant really fault these tyres, as they've lasted well (still plenty of life in the front), and are good in all road conditions. However, the rear has squared off badly, due to all the fully loaded, high speed motorway wo...

6500miles and no problems with my Nav5, and worked great in France....just wish it had the same functionality as on the GS's though.. >:(

Re: Unlocking the My Bike App on a Nav V installed on an RT.

I'm hoping that Mr BMW will give us a software update for the Nav5, that gives us the same functionality as the bloody GS's......and a lockable mount....and LED headlights...... ;)

Re: Time for new tyres soon

6200 miles on my RTLC and my rear Conti RS2GT has now squared off badly (due to lots of high speed motorway work fully loaded). Still loads of tread on the edges though (i hate it when that happens >:( ). The front tyre still has plenty of life left, so i'm going to stick another C...

Could you measure the distance from one of the lower mounting bolts to the centre of the top edge of the screen please,
Cheers ,
Craig
The measurement is 575mm from bottom bolt to top centre of screen.

Yes, I'm 5' 8" and can see over the screen very well. Even with the seat set on low.

Re: Wunderlich Touring Screen for RTLC

I'm very happy with the Wunderlich screen, its a big (literally) improvement over the OEM screen. Higher and wider, and the little winglet extensions actually work well. lowest position http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/Yonkyo/DSC_0009_zpsd03476c7.jpg highest http://i209.photobucket.com/album...

Looks quite nice in blue, and the colour coded top box is a nice touch...not sure about the silver fairing top though..
