No issue if you live in the U.S. I can’t speak to other countries. You are lucky in the U.S. Here in the UK the deal is that BMW will only except warranty claims if the bike has a FSH by BMW or a VAT registered mechanic using BMW parts. I took the gamble and did my own servicing. However during the...
Well nothing new with poor maintenance work. The technicians are under time pressure and only do the minimum. One reason I learnt to work on my bike myself. The only time my bike had dealer servicing was the first one at 600 - 700 miles for warranty purposes. Even then when I did a final drive oil c...
I'm a little confused with your situation. They have your bike, which is still under warranty, know what the problem is but don't know what to do next. Why won't they just get on and fix it. Seems to me something with your dealer is very wrong or have I read this all wrong.
Looks like an easier solution to mine. Wasn't about when I did mine. Nice one. Looks like there is not enough room to take the TomTom off by the normal method, do you have to release the whole adapter to take it off ? If so I'm guessing there is still the security issue.
Only have panniers on if going on a tour. Don't have top box think they are ugly and too big. Having said that I see why folks love them. My solution is the BMW soft tail bag that sets on the rack. Its lighter and more discrete than a top box but big enough to carry all I need for day trips. Very ea...
Update on my exhaust valve. The high temp grease arrived yesterday. So examined the valve again. Released the cables. The butterfly valve was perfect, very easy to move. In fact it had loosened up some more since my last look. Anyway tried to push some of the grease into the spindle bearing top and ...
Hammo I understand how you feel but who other than BMW make a traditional, full faired, with panniers, 2 up touring bike. FJR1300 but it's an ancient design. All the rest have gone. When I had my Pan1300 I was praying that Honda would update the bike but it seems that fashion dictates if you want to...
Sorry guys cannot see how a premium fuel is going to lube something on the other side of the CAT. I use the cheapest fuel going and have just had my first seize after 46k miles on a 2014 bike. Now what's interesting is I moved house last December and with that and lockdowns the bike has not been use...
They need to make their money now before we all go electric. Then it will small number plates only. Speeding will be out of the question because we will all suffer from range anxiety or be stuck on the side of the road with no power. Looking forward to candles as the lights go out. The future looks ...
