Re: Ideal tankbag R1200RT LC?
The proper BMW tank bag is a nice bit of kit and you wont end up with any unwanted marks on the tank. Definitely waterproof and a good size at 11 ltrs. Having said that, if you have the standard top box fitted you can carry a lot of kit, all securely.. I had a tank bag on one of my earlier RTs but ...

Re: Replacement Batteries
On this subject of Batteries, AGM `may' be the way to go having found the following, the difference in `charge and holding rate', of which I admit I didn't fully understand; AGM (absorbed glass mat) is a special design glass mat...

Re: Zumo 660 and BMW Battery Charger
I don't think they get fried, its more a case of forever being topped up but never worked that does them in. Let it run down a bit followed by a good strong charge is much better for a longer life. Sounds feasible RTman10, so okay I'm going to give that a go.  ...

Had a Garmin Zumo 660 https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/on-the-road/motorcycles/zumo-660lm/prod117259.html for 4 years now without any problems, originally fitted to a 2010 RT, now transferred to a 2012 bike. The BMW GPS Mounting Bracket is a nice piece of kit. http://www.ascycles.com/images/products...
