Side Stand Enlarger

Seeing this photograph, has reminded me that I may consider purchasing a sidestand enlarger. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/23/61d74418511b8185716eb627738aa246.jpg The one on this bike looks particularly neat, what make is it & where did it come from, thanks. The bike does lean over a l...

Re: R1200RT Twin Cam (2010-2013)

Nice looking bike, was tempted by the Anniversary model myself.

The sticker above the headlight suggests you have done some touring.

Re: GS or Rt

If stopping & starting plus slow speed machine control is a concern, it may be worth considering looking at i2i Motorcycle Academy, http://www.i2imca.com/.

You'll be amazed at what you can do on 2 wheels, may consider keeping the GS you love & saving some money, just a thought.

Re: GS or Rt

If it's any help, the guy who I went with to test ride the LC RT was, at the time, riding a Twin Cam GS Adventurer which was lowered etc. He too was struggling when coming to a stop and lacked confidence, had also dropped his bike in an adverse camber situation and found it top heavy. He rode the LC...

Was thinking of somewhere central in GB for a possible meet, would this be of interest to anyone?

Adjusting Headlight for LHD or RHD

On the Twin Cam RT's, I think there is an adjuster behind the RHS headlight marked, LHD/RHD.

The Rider's Manual doesn't mention it and recommends using adhesive tape.

I use a removable headlight protector, which has the LHD to RHD conversion stickers attached.

Has anyone tried using the adjuster?

Location, Location, Location.

Dunsop Bridge in Lancashire claims to be the centre of Great Britain and is marked with a famous phone box. Using Google Maps https://www.google.co.uk/maps?daddr=Dunsop+Bridge&hl=en&sll=54.23759,-1.899709&sspn=1.14289,3.172302&geocode=FZIiNwMd0YjZ_ylPuobnTn97SDGa2mwaPNNpuw&mra=ls...

Austria 2013

Day 1 – Ferry Hull to Zeebrugge Met up and set off from the Blue Bell Acklam to Hull, it was absolutely lashing it down, full wets were the order of the day. Because of the road conditions and to get some practice for group riding on motorways, it was decided to head down the A19, A168 & A1(M) t...

Re: Breakdown Assistance & Personal Travel Insurance

I paid £75 for a year's Euro Breakdown Cover with Gold Cover, now got cover with the BMW Used Bike Warranty. Personal Travel Insurance for rider & pillion was £130 for a year, again with Gold Cover. Some policies don't cover riding a motorcycle & if they do, they may be limited to 125cc for ...

Re: Shell To Be BMW Recommended Oil Supplier

David that's a bit cheeky of the dealers. Exactly, one of the many reasons I haven't been back to Coopers Sunderland. I bought the Castrol Syntrax 75W90 for £15. Motorworks sell this oil for £15.26:- http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=15&M=35&Ct=DA&SbCt=BA_15_35...
