Thanks John, I've just booked the Lamb and Flag at Abergavenny for Ashley.

If Markus doesn't make it, we'll both be in the Premier Inn at Abergavenny for 2 nights, Sunday 5th & Monday 6th May.

Re: South West & South Wales Area

The Premier Inn at Abergavenny is now sold out for Sunday 5th & Monday 6th May.

I'd like to book another room, please can anyone recommend an alternative hotel, thank you.

If anyone would like to meet up and have a ride out, I should be at the Motorist by 11am.

The Motorist - Sunday 14th April

I'm looking at having a ride out tomorrow to The Motorist at Sherburn-in-Elmet. If I do, would this be of any interest to anyone. From there, I may be riding to York, Scarborough, Whitby and back to Teesside.

Please let me know and I'll take it from there, thank you.

Best fuel for MPG.

In the 2012 Camhead BMW Owners Manual, BMW recommends BP fuels. During a trial between Tesco Momentum and BP Ultimate, the BP fuel returned ~5 mpg better than Tesco. Different fuels (petrol) have been used in both a 2004 Toyota Corolla and a 2012 Suzuki Swift. BP is coming out "top of the pops&...

For anyone feeling adventurous, using the same P&T stops, would this work.

Re: Buying a pre-owned Garmin Zumo 660 LM

Spoke to Garmin again today, have installed the Safety Camera free 30 day trial on the new (pre-owned) Zumo 660.

On my original Zumo 660 have paid £16.99 for 1 year's subscription to the Safety Cameras. Any updates within the 12 months will be free.

Re: South West & South Wales Area

I've spoken to Markus and it's looking most unlikely that he'll have a new bike by Monday 6th May. If this is the case, I will not be riding down to Abergavenny on my own. How do those others who are attending feel about me starting another thread for a meet at Ilkeston on the same day. If it's a pr...

Re: South West & South Wales Area

In the event that Markus doesn't get his new motorcycle before the beginning of May, I wouldn't ride all the way (250 miles) to Abergavenny on my own. However, I would still consider meeting up halfway (125 miles) at Ilkeston and having a circular ride out from there. Something like this might work,...

Re: Buying a pre-owned Garmin Zumo 660 LM

I picked up the new (pre-owned) Zumo 660 last night. All looks good so far with the device updated and added to my Garmin Express account. My Zumo 660 is 2011 and the newer one is 2014. The only difference I can find is that the 2014 model does not have, Settings > Proximity Points > Proximity Alert...

Re: Buying a pre-owned Garmin Zumo 660 LM

I don't do technology and my Zumo 660 has worked perfectly well for the last 13 years. I've got two motorcycles with Garmin mounts and two cars with car mounts. On the motorcycles, the navigation voice prompts are heard via a hard wired Autocom system into helmet speakers. While I have the opportuni...

Re: Buying a pre-owned Garmin Zumo 660 LM

The seller is loading Northwest Europe maps which includes the UK. He previously had Northeast Europe for a trip to Iceland. I'd rather purchase the device with the maps loaded which I want to use. He will then de-register the device and I will re-register it on Garmin Express as another device with...
