So my question to the experts is are the GS and RT downpipes interchangeable. Don't think so, putting the RT part number into RealOEM only lists fitment for the RT and R mod...

GS's have a hole drilled in the swingarm fitted with a one-way valve to let the water out.

RT's aren't waterproof.

This looks to be a similar part with a different part number https://www.motorworks.co.uk/pannier-support-bracket-lua99847-1.html That is the one which MAX BMW describe as a support, sold separately. Perhaps this is original (standard fitment) and the others sold as a set are to improve the pannier...

The RT 'is' the better bike.
