Re: BMW Rider Weight Guidelines

The poll will only allow 20 options, more have been added for those that need them.

If your weight changes, re-voting is allowed.

Re: BMW driveshaft recall/problems & preventative maintenance

Re: BMW driveshaft recall/problems & preventative maintenance

In the linked "driveshaft failure" thread, one was bad workmanship, the other three were failure of the part directly.

I may be wrong but that is my interpretation of what has been posted.

Re: Suspension Set Up?

With a payload of 235 lbs (approx. 17 st), what is the suspension pre-load set at. Solo mode with luggage should cover it.

The BMW weight guidelines are based on a rider being between 8 st to 13 st, with an average of 11 st.

Try a 2010-13 Camhead and see what you think. They have a different clutch and gearbox arrangement to that of the 2014+ Wethead.

Re: centre stand painting

Centre stands do get hammered with gravel rash, (particularly the crossbar between the two vertical legs), resulting in corrosion. Not wishing to remove the stand, I rubbed down the horizontal tube, brush painted with Hammerite Smooth then fitted a length of plastic tubing for future protection. htt...
