The RS2's have now done 5,870 miles with the remaining serviceable tread depth to the TWI's in the centre of each tyre, Front = 1.0 mm, Rear = 2.5 mm. By the time I've been to Wales & back (700 miles) they should be ready for changing after a total of 6,570 miles, IMO, that is quiet good. The re...

When cranking the engine to start, Yuasa recommend a minimum of 9.5 V. Meanwhile, I'll just keep an eye on it and carry some jump leads. Got BMW Roadside Assistance and breakdown cover with my insurance too.

For the record and future reference, battery voltage checks were completed today. The battery was fully charged and allowed to rest before performing any tests. 1) Resting voltage with ignition off = 12.37 V. I think the danger is that, some de-sulphating battery chargers can deliver up to ~18 volts which may damage the voltage sensitive electronics on the motorcycle.
