Re: Motorcycle Insurance "Legal Expenses Cover"

I had an accident in France in 2005. Legal cover did not include Europe! Started with a UK based motorcycle claim specialist. They were very helpful however We had to use a French solicitor,  who was arranged by UK solicitor, I was never billed by UK company, however French system takes 20%...

Re: Another Satnav Lock Option?

Thought this seemed a good solution to whet should have been sorted by BMW. Then had another thought! Has any o e had their Sat Nav stolen? Also the cost of protection, if this was a house worth 600,00 the cost of perhaps preventing theft would be 145,000 , not a good proposition? So think I will st...

Speeding fines in France

Just returned home from trip to Portugal via France. Found two speeding fine notices on the doormat! Both from new stealth radars which do not have warning signs prior to them. These are a new thing in France to raise revenue. Both are for €45 so not a great amount compared to some you can get. One ...

Re: 2019 Annual RT Meet

I live in Shrewsbury, if you need any recommendations for where to eat on the Saturday let me know. Ludlow a good place to visit, bikes tend to park on the right hand side of castle entrance, large paved area. Normally street market on Saturday just drive past it. Never eaten in 2 Henry's but believ...

Re: Blade Motorad Birmingham

I enjoyed service when run by Daniel Morgan. Was surprised when he sold to Blade. Most of the staff stayed but did not look as happy.  Not used much in last two years as done my own servicing. But shame to see a dealership close, competition should lead to better service?

Re: Which Screen ?

I have used a Werks  screen this year. Did not find shipping costs too bad, can,t find paper work to tell you how much [size=78%]I find it better than standard screen, seldom use fully up. In mid position keeps visor clear of bug  splats  and rain.  However I do&a...

Re: Crashed on black ice

When my bike was written off at 1 month old had no problem with valuation from BMW insurance. However Top box and other additions which can be added after factory build were classed as "optional extras" I had to claim for replacement of these on home all risk insurance, along with leathers...

Re: Ipod connection

You need the BMW car type connection, a 3.5mm jack and USB cable one end and IPOD connected the other. Try Amazon a lot cheaper then BMW make sure it is BMW compliant as I had one which looked the same but did not work.

Re: Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart

Had 3 sets of these on my old RT (2005). Excellent for my money. Wore well and gave confidence in the wet and dry. Seemed to always get them for a good price. Always changed as pairs but front would have lasted longer.

Re: AUTOCOM ON 2014 RT

I had my Autocon SPA installed by dealer. also had it transferred to loan K1600GTL. I bought a Bluetooth unit for this bike to connect to audio and sat nav. Worked but bypassed the magic wheel so only got loud! On RT I have fitted the Autocom switch to the speaker wires. Works well, situated switch ...
