Re: How many RT LC owners actually have problems / issues?

Oh and a significant cost... I have always had Michelin Road Pilot 4 (GT by preference) tyres which are great but they last just 10,000 miles on the rear and 6,000 on the front - I say last really they aren't performing for the last 800 or so miles. Which is quite appalling in my opinion. You think...

Re: How many RT LC owners actually have problems / issues?

I had a 2014 model and did about 15,000 miles before swapping it for a GS. No significant problems.  Stuck exhaust flap solved by replaced downpipes; faulty aux light switch replaced and faulty (leaking) aux light also replaced. Don't think I've ever owned a bike that didn't have something ...

Re: Latest K1600

The gearbox with quick shifter was a delight to use and very smooth on the demonstrator I rode, I could select 1st gear with startling drivers in the queue beside me! I have a suspicion that the issue with the GSAP shifter isn't bike-specific, it's year-specific.  If you read the threads a...

Re: iPhone mount for 2016 R1200RT

My local fuzz just posted this on facebook which says touching a phone mounted to the bike is not a problem [attachimg=1] I'm sorry but this REALLY annoys me.  Your interpretation is absolutely NOT what the document says. I suggest you read the document again - but this ...

Re: 2014 RT LC Service cost?.

My brother in law runs a BMW car which he has had from new. It's now covered around 50,000 miles and is the same age as my bike. Nothing has failed which required replacement under warranty. All he has paid out for is servicing and tyres. My 2013 RT has covered 18,000 miles and has required replace...

Re: Keyless ride - emergency key

Me think on bikes it's just a gimmick too far.  In cars when it's linked to no keys to open the door etc maybe but on a bike you are just replacing one action with another one.  I have had both and I'm glad it's gone.  On balance, I tend to agree. I had it on my Multistra...
