Re: February winter road trip
 Now that's a thought. I have managed a ride in the last fortnight and I suppose I could ride most days but would end up needing to clean the bike down, no risk of salt on my roads here though. It's just renovating and trying to get two bedrooms finished for house sitters before my ...

Re: R1200RT Twin Cam (2010-2013)
I rode all of my bikes with panniers fitted and probably will with the RT as it gets me used to the width and not having to adjust and remember their on or off, mind you I have rear pannier protection bars. So probably I leave them on because I like the look of the bike fully dressed. Oddly enough t...

Re: RT (Twin Cam) - Body Panel Removal and Installation
That's a great video more like that is what I need for my 2014 he did make it look easy. First I need to buy myself a torx set. Question do many people remove the panels for cleaning the bike? I should imagine it would be necessary if you was winterising (is that a word?) and covering the bike in AC...

Sorry can't help on which one is best, but having had a few bikes in my great bikes. However, not compare with the 2014 1200RT LE it's awesome. All I can say is welcome to the forum.

Re: Weather protection
Collected all 34 bits of the kit in a large cardboard box today. Assembly will have to wait for the shed to get above 5c The parts guy at my dealers has accused me of attempting to change the bike into a scooter. Oddly enough that is exactly what I was thinking? Without getting ...

Re: Right hand switch cluster
My advice would be, until you can get it swapped, don't use the kill switch. Using the rocker switch the whole length of its movement seems to speed up its eventual failure. I have never used the "kill switch" to stop the engine in twenty plus years of owning a bike I stop the e...

Re: Right hand switch cluster
It's a great day here in France and would love to ride, but it would be a bummer if the switch played up when out and about now I know about it. Up until now it's started on the button excuse the "pun".
