Re: What if you didn't have an RT!

I've never ridden a twin can only the 2014 LC, but I do think the TC looks more refined, the LC looks a little too bling for my liking. As friends point out it looks like a transformer with odd bits of plastic stuck on rather than a "one piece" fairing. However, it rides fantastically, the...

Re: Tyres - How long do they last?

How pertinent... Just in for its 6000mile/1 year service and I've had the call that the front is illegal. Lower than 1mm on one side - I guess I have enjoyed those left handers too much over the last 2000 miles. The wife won't be pleased... Means I'll be keeping this GS until tomorrow. Definitely ma...

Re: Bluetooth with Zumo and Autocom

What wired system costs less than a BT system (say twin pack sena smh-10-11 at £289)?

Oh and lower seat post was a good idea for stability on mounting/dismounting.

Re: Pillion

Went really well today, despite it starting to rain a little, we're still talking - she said once she got over the initial nerves and stopped hyperventilating she never felt so safe. I even managed a couple of tame overtakes and tiny bit of filtering. She's keeping the gear for another go and has ta...

Re: Picked up my bike on Monday

Yep ebony black, i've never cleaned a vehicle so much in such a short space of time but the colour is really nice when clean and the sun catches it. I find it funny when the lads at work enthuse about their fast cars... Fast?

Re: Gear Shift Pro

I found if you attempt to upshift too early it resists and you end up with a bruised and battered top to your big toe of your left foot. If you know you are upshifting a little too early for the bike a very slight and quick flick of the throttle (closing marginally) as you hook the lever up with you...

Re: MPG - at the risk of sounding like an anorak...

I suspect riding in company will reduce my mpg but its still amazing me. However, I'm still having to top up just as often... You wouldn't believe the detours I'm taking to get places - my weekly mileage has doubled!

On the 2650 miles around Europe last year on the Suzuki I longed for a seat with a massager... The number of times it felt like I was sitting on my testicles and just wanted something to stroke them back into place...

Re: 240 miles on a whim, knee issues

Maz12, I find the high position is quite easily manageable, I probably think I was right to start with the low position after the big step up from a Suzuki gsf600 and will probably return to low setting for the ride tomorrow with pillion but definitely found the extra space for my legs useful for my...

I've not taken anyone on the back of a bike for about 30 years (on an mtx50!) My wife (who hasn't been a passenger on a bike for about 30 years - mtx50) has borrowed kit and on Saturday we'll give it a go before she decides if she's coming on (the tamer) tours with me (well she did buy me the bike!)...

240 miles on a whim, knee issues

On the spur of the moment I took an afternoon off work on Tuesday to destress! Took a ride down to Swanage on the south coast. Despite the changeable weather (and the sat navs curvey roads option selecting the odd "dirt track") it was an excellent distress. However my left knee was quite s...

Re: Pannier liners

DaygloDavid thanks I saw those and put them in the basket then it added vat. I'm soon to get the first service done and have asked my dealer how close they could get to those prices before I order online. They pretty much matched the price for the BMW charger so I bought that from the dealer but thi...
