Re: I love November
Temperatures where I am are, if anything, lower than where exportman is, so 30 or 40 degrees F lower than Jacksonville. I don't envy Florida summers (too hot and humid for me), but I'd swap temperatures with Florida when the roads here are either icy or wet and salty - like now !

And in which part of the Southern USA do you live ?? ;DSkeezix wrote: Last 3 days have been fantastic. Averaging around 75 degrees F.
Put in around 400 miles going nowhere in particular. Let's see what next weekend brings.

Re: Not even ridden it yet and I've taken it apart!
..... Got 70 miles in today, very pleased with the bike, so much smoother than the 2014 and no clunk (yet) into 1st. I managed 94 miles today and got home with the bike looking like it had been through a field (some salt on the roads, but LOTS of mud). My bike is supposed to be a 2017 model (Euro 4...

Re: Not even ridden it yet and I've taken it apart!
That's a nice looking bike.
I don't have your patience. Mine has 16 miles on the clock (the roads looked very slippery) and I'm hoping to get that into three figures today (weather forecast says 3 - 7 degrees C).

Re: What have you got planned for 2017
I'm at the early stages of planning 2 trips for 2017 : 1. Spain - visit friends / family in SE England, then take the chunnel to Calais. Head South West (Bayonne) then go South, aiming for Rota and a couple of days playing at tourists. Home via the East coast of Spain t...

Re: Where did you get to in 2016
I had a trip with my brother (on a K1600GT at the time) to Sicily. A long way from Scotland, but an interesting trip. One outstanding memory is the very poor condition of roads in Italy. This has been recognised by the addition of speed limit signs - down from 100kph to 50 or from 130kph to 80.&...

Re: Is Mahle the same as OEM parts
As is says on the tin, the Liqui Moly is synthetic, API SM & JASO MA-2. The BMW (Shell) Advantec stuff is systhetic, API SN & JASO MA-2. The BMW spec. is API SL & JASO MA-2, therefore, both the above oils meet & exceed the requirements. My Rider's manual says : "Additives (eg m...

Have you found it down on power in the mid range? Thread here that a guy has posted about the niggles with this 2017 and down on mid range power seems to be his biggest niggle, apparently due to Euro 4 - http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/438369-New-RT-delays-and-software-updates/page2 Not...

Re: My latest
Happy new bike, interesting to see that 2017 models are still being supplied with Z8's & not the latest 01's. I guess that's where all the old stock goes ! When the time comes, I'll either go back to my old favourites (Michelin PR3) or try the latest Metzelers. I got some amazing mileages out o...

My new bike finally arrived and I picked it up yesterday. [attachimg=2] Having ridden a 2016MY Iconic, it was interesting to note the (many) similarities and the (few) differences on my 2017MY LE, eg the basic elements are exactly the same, even down to 1st gear engaging with a slight clunk, and the...

Re: Question about 'miles until empty' computer readout
2007 RT How is the 'miles until empty' figure calculated by the onboard computer? Does it take the MPG readout figure and use that? Because, if you reset the MPG figure the 'miles until empty' figure does not change. Or does it take the average MP...

Re: Change in weight and feel. When did it happen?
"Hold up guys, the best RT's ever built are the 2010-13 models" "or perhaps a finely tuned end of evolution" I'm in the process of trading a 2013 TC for a 2017MY LC. Having ridden both, I find the LC slightly easier to flat foot and, even when pushing around at the garage, it ac...
