Re: Corrosion
Hi John, My swingarm was replaced under warranty after 10500 miles due to bubbling of the paintwork. There's a picture on here somewhere?! This is one among a lot of problems I've had with my bike. Like you, it grates me that for the money they ask for their bikes the build quality is to put it mild...

Re: WERKS Quiet Ride Windshield
I ride all year round & was getting a lot of buffeting from the stock screen specislly around the helmet . I chsnged to a Wunderlich screen in January & it's great. I can now ride with my flip up helmet open at speeds in excess of 80mph with no buffeting whatsoever. I'm 6'2" & my Sa...

Re: Calling all RTLC Autocomers...
I've used Autocom for years... my lead just hangs from the front of the seat, on the left.
Have never used a cover on it ever... had no problems with this set up in over 15 years.
My better half's lead is just the same, no cover just coming out on the left of the pillion seat.

Memories are very short in the media... just look up Gibernau or Capirossi.

Re: Bit close to the wire!
The mileage that I originally gave was with the manual calculation method. I have put a mark in the filler tube to which I put the fuel up to, so I'm putting nigh on the same amount each fill. The bike computer said 50.3 mpg for the same tankful, I always zero that too every fill... 100 miles per we...

Re: Reliability of the R1200RT---year after recall
The finish corroding or the actual aluminum? My 07R suffered a bad drive shaft due to a transmission seal failure. I had to pull the fork to replace the shaft. The fork was a monster, just trying to understand what went wrong w the fork. Thanks Wayne Bubbling up from under the coating.. I posted a ...
