Re: Coronavirus
I really don't understand the seriousness of this epidemic when only small numbers and I understand that every death is tragic and I dont underestimate the sorrow that each one causes but I believe flu kills far more people every year yet the consequences of this epidemic far outweigh those of flu....

Yep, set of headers on my '14 & new set on this '17!Casbar wrote: On my 2014 I didn't bother. You just wait for the exhaust flap to seize and then get new headers from BMW. I had two sets up until I traded it last year. Going to follow the same cleaning process for my 1250

Re: I finally traded in my R1200RT after 15years!
Hi all, I finally did it. I traded in my 2005 R1200RT that I've owned from new for a 2014 Callisto grey R1200RT LE with, seemingly, every option. Very happy and can't wait for it to be ready to pick up next week. It's getting its 6000 mile service early and a new front tyre. I'm going with mates on...

Re: GEARS changing loud / clanking on 2014 RT
Not so. My Wethead (2017 my). Is silky smooth in every gear up or down, shift assist or not. However it is ALWAYS noisy into 1st gear except when stone cold (when it is quiet). However, from my experience with models from 2014 - 2016 were often noisy going between any gear. Same experience with mine

Re: Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart
I posted a link sometime ago that shows BMW R1200RT being tested with Dunlop Roadsmart III's. Surely BMW wouldn't have allowed it if they didn't agree to it?RT Slim wrote: Another positive vote for Dunlop RS3's. Great price point, longevity and handling.

Re: Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart
But you can get Roadsmart IIIs, suitable for the RT. I've used Dunlops in the distant past and I was impressed with the consistency from new to worn out which other tyres didn't have. I might be tempted to try these Dunlops at some time in the future. Roadsmart III's for me π Gr...

Re: Retired or about to retire?
I retired about 12 years ago aged 58 and immediately moved to France with a Honda Blackbird, which was fun but not really a touring bike. On my return to the UK in 2009 I part-ex'd the BB for an ST1300 shortly after meeting my (now) wife 'cos it's no fun for a Blackbird pillion! Now the Pan's got a...
