Re: Sargent seat

One of the first things I did on my 2014 RT was to put a set of Sargent heated seats on it. Couldn't stand the bench like quality of the OE. They take a while to settle in but I wouldn't change them at all. They are now on my 17 RT. They cost £660 then, a lot of money but well worth it for the comfo...

Re: Heated Items

Merino base layers with Keis waistcoat, which must be nearly 20 years old! Still works a treat, only had to change the zip last year. Grips & seat on, toasty.
Daytona goretex touring boots with normal socks, never had cold toes.
Normally short gloves unless its below 0° then Alpinestars 365 go on.

Re: Insurance

Renewed our car insurance beginning of December to start beginning of January & the cheapest was with the same insurer but £140 more :o
Some were after £250-300 more!

Bike insurance due in April but last year was lower than previous. Mackenzie Hodgson.

Re: Exhaust flaps

Just get rid of it and fit a HealTech Servo Eliminator. Provided the flap is stuck in the open position, and you'd know about it if it wasn't, 50 quid and half an hours work and the problems goes away for ever. Some say it makes the exhaust a little louder, but I didn't notice and difference after ...

Re: Recall work

After talking to the ex beemer mechanic, I just asked the service guy at the BMW shop if they were checking on the FD. He said yes & if found out of tolerance would be replaced. Thought it would be easier on my pocket for them to stump up the cost rather than me. Never had any recall letters sin...

Recall work

Talked to an ex BMW mechanic a couple of weeks ago & he said that BMW were doing a check on the crown wheel of the final drive & it would be prudent to have it checked. I agreed, so today I took a trip to my local dealer, Balderstones at Peterborough. Yes it was true that they were checking ...
