The VIN shows the physical cut into the key's blade.
The electronics now has to be programmed by the dealer and their computer. This is according to my dealer here in the states.

I just installed the Suburban Machinery peg lowering blocks on my 2015 RTLC and I am enjoying them very much. Lowering the gear shifter is a breeze as all that I needed was a 10mm and an 8mm open end wrench. Took about 2 minutes to adjust. The brake pedal will take some more engineering but seems OK...
