Re: Potential owner in Yorkshire

I’ve had my latest RT for nearly 8 years now, and was under pressure from a friend to move up to a tractor.. Oops sorry a GS 😀…. Anyway after giving in and test riding his GS, I think he was disappointed with my response … to much noise coming up through the forks, to wide in the bars for my liking ...

Re: BMW Insured Warranty

A few weeks ago, the bike went in to Williams (Manchester) for the replacement shaft - foot peg clips and software update, like a few of us have had done. While it was in, it was noticed that my front Telelever shock had a leak, I have the extended warranty, so suggested they order me one, only to b...

Re: Recall work

Above work carried out today, slight wear on shaft they said, to be expected I suppose, but no rust ! They found a slight leak, on the front telelever suspension, only warranted up to 30k they seemed to think, the good news (I hope) is it was replaced at 12k so this one as only done 27k, so there tr...

Re: Recall work

Called in at Williams (Manchester) today, re - recall on foot rest clips, while there asked about the software update and the driveshaft, they asked the mileage, just over 39k … right we’ll order you a shaft in, and do it all next week 👍

Re: Heated Items

Depends what bike I’m on, but while on shift on an RT, its Heated grips - seat - body warmer - and best thing I’ve bought Socks, especially at 7c and less, but I always suffer from cold feet !
On winter bike, I have no heated seat, and I don’t use my own RT very much in the winter.
