Re: Motorcycle Tour Operators or DIY

We've tried an organised tour. Through Germany. Over the Alps, down through Slovenia and on to Croatia. Not for us I'm afraid. We like being able to spend more or less time in a place as it suits. Although I appreciate the time and effort planning routes and booking accommodation. The diy method wor...

Re: Fancy a Change ?.

My old Fjr is up for sale now at So many bikes. I had a nitron shock and wilbers progressive springs fitted plus a professional set up done but it still didn't handle the way the RT does. I also found the vibrations through the bars sent my hands numb. Good bike but the RT is streets better for me. ...

Re: Near side headlight bulb replacement

Problem solved, I was introduced to an old chap expert in all things BMW. He told me that the boxers don't like cheap bulbs and insisted that I visit Halfords and pay £ 9.99 for a proper bulb. Guess what? It worked. Seems the beemers are fussy about resistance and such. Moral of the story, buy cheap...

Near side headlight bulb replacement

So the near side headlight bulb went out and after help from Max BMW I've replaced it, however still no light. The original bulb was clearly broken on the filament so no reason to suspect anything else. I bought a twin pack of replacement H7 bulbs and have tried both, thinking one may be faulty but ...

Re: Accommodation in Germany

I wonder if there are any German members on here. Perhaps they like to come over to the UK and visit the east end or Coventry cathedral and reminisce about those brave chaps in the Luftwaffe.

Got it today

Picked up the ( new to me ) bike today and it's everything and more I was looking for. Came home the long way, only a 200 mile detour and was cackling like a crazy man Inside my helmet. How does a bike this size handle so well? One question, there is an autocom active plus system wired in to the bik...

Re: Discounted Travel Arrangements

I believe the motorail across Europe has gone bust and forced railsavers in to liquidation as a result.
