Re: OEM Top Box for 2015 RT

For those of you who don't want to compromise my dealer will supply the non-electric top box with a coded lock for £658.00.  Dealer is Roy Pidcock. Ah! That's interesting. My local dealer has initially said £660 for the same top box. I'll let you know how dealer negotiation (yeah, right) p...

Re: Agricultural clunk

That is the problem. Waiting at lights for example and when 1st is selected it feels like it has been whacked in with a hammer. Given the cost of the bike I thought it might have been a bit more refined! If it's any consolation zack, my previous 4 cyl K1300GT was just as erfin clunky in 1st & 2...

Thanks for the inputs RTman10 - much appreciated.

Highlandbear, any chance of photos showing the brackets you refer to. I'll take a look at the SHAD option in the meantime. Thanks for the info.

Re: OEM Top Box for 2015 RT

Just looked at Moto24.  Definitely the one with no electrics but its a good price.  Odd they quote  19% VAT.    Just check on their warranty and if they supply the lock you will need to get a dealer to code it for you before you install it. Yes, I spotte...

Re: OEM Top Box for 2015 RT

Okay. Thanks for that RTman10. I've just been looking on the web and see that Moto 24 / Motorrad Store sell them for £537 (incl of lock) + £10 shipping. Still darn expensive but considerably less than from a main dealer at £650 ish ! Do you know of any other source for the light equipped top box apa...

OEM Top Box for 2015 RT

Yes, I know.....extremely overpriced. However, what surprised me today when talking to my local dealer was the fact that this particular top box for my RT is only available with a silver grey/aluminium coloured top, and no San Marino Blue....or any other bike colour for that matter!! Why oh why, as ...

Re: Brake fault warning

That sounds like the normal mode of operation, ie ABS and brake fail lights illuminate, steady flash, then extinguish when you ride off at approx 5mph......??? Apologies if that sounds like I'm stating the obvious - not intentional.

Re: Where did you get to in 2015

A very pleasant Euro tour with the wife in July:- Calais (via the tunnel) to Lille in France, then onto Trier, then onto Seebach in the Black Forest (including whizzing up and down the B500), then South to Konstanz on the Swiss border, onto Como in Italy, back into France via Mont Blanc tunnel. Via ...

Re: Stebel replacement horn

Can the stebel magnum horn be fitted on the existing wires then? The standard horn on the LC is pathetic. I'm embarrassed to use it. Yes, not a problem. I recently fitted the Magnum horn on my 2015 RT, and mounted it exactly where the OEM pip squeaker was fitted. I already had a can bus wiring loom...
