Re: What did you do today?

Just a flavour of a mountain bike (battery assisted) ride around the Peak District today.

.... or just put a set of Conti TKCs on the RT 8-) Good to go and you'll look hardcore.

Re: What did you do today?

Out and about in the Peak District, yesterday to be fair. Beautiful weather and scenery but the roads were challenging. Grit, pebbles and muck everywhere caused by run off from the fields after all the wet weather. Rear end went sideways at one point, probably about an inch but felt like a yard, bit...

Re: Buying a pre-owned Garmin Zumo 660 LM

Hi David Not from what i've found. Just add it to your garmin express and all should be good. I never buy new sat navs and never had a problem with getting the updated maps for a used sat nav. The only problem i've had is trying to do the update over wifi. I can confirm the above. I had no issues u...

Thanks David. Can you send me a copy of the file, I'll have a look. It is a great area and I'm glad other people think so. Maybe a few browsers out there maybe tempted. Not holding my breath though.

Re: Easter Saturday 30th - Meet/Ride

Hi Guys I can't do Saturdays Hi Michael, Sundays for me have to some extent been taken over by family stuff so might be more difficult to meet up going forward. Agree that the weather looks good for Sunday so it makes sense to change the day. Probably better if I build up steady and get ready for t...

Re: Easter Saturday 30th - Meet/Ride

I'd be up for a 'social'. Not likely to get much bike time between now and then so not sure about a ride out. Depends on direction of route and whether I could leave early if necessary.

Forecast NTB at the moment. Occasional light showers.

Re: New Northern Monkeys HQ.

In consultation with a fellow NM, I'd like to suggest that Fields Garden Centre near Sherburn-in-Elmet, https://www.fieldsgardencentre.co.uk/kitchen/ becomes the new NM's HQ. How do others feel about this idea as a base to meet up and/or have a circular ride out from. Good idea, nice location, know...

Any interest in a ride into South Lincolnshire, Notts, possibly North Leics. from a base somewhere around Rother Valley Country Park? Some lovely quiet roads.
