I've been offered a second hand 'as new' BMW Comfort seat for my 2006 RT. I had to do a Google search as I was not even aware this was a factory option. Chigwell, Essex. But on reflection this place must have been a dealer not the actual UK shop! Nice set-up though.

So as BMW were offering protection options for panniers and cylinder heads, as fitted to my bike it seems they did see the need or support crash bars as an OEM offering.
