Re: Ferry crossing

We have done this crossing quite a number of times and although it does save a long slog for those of us in the North, the parking for bikes on board is not the best. Most times we have been directed to the mezzanine deck which at busy times can be very crowded and a bit claustrophobic. Bikes are cr...

Re: Faulty Oil Filters !

I have a feeling that what's puzzling "fatnfast" is the same as what's puzzling me. In RTman10's post he refers to historical, long time ago information. As far as I can see the post by Andrew on BMRider began last Saturday and this was the first time I had heard of this problem and indeed...

Re: Faulty Oil Filters !

I,m a bit puzzled as to where we are going with this. The post on BMRider clearly states that the problem bikes where serviced at a BMW Dealer so presumably the correct BMW Filters where fitted. Nowhere does it state or imply that an incorrect part was fitted, or am I missing something.

Re: Rear suspension bolt stuck.

Done that, Been there, Got the teeshirt. See "Front Shock Removal Problem" further down the list. Your problem does sound similar to mine, although mine involved the Front shock bolt. Took me two days to remove.

This is how Durham Police escorted the Olympic Torch through Consett in 2012. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9zr2e1eP0c Ouch, brings back memories of a near identical occurrence which happened to me in Northallerton high street a couple of years ago which changed my following distance for good. Ditch the weight and carry a credit card instead. Trade the wife in for a more agile model. Job sorted  :) ) I stupidly showed this post to the "Wife" (well I thought it was funny !!). She is very keen to meet up and discuss the agility subject. Sorry but I can't be responsible f...

Re: Riding with luggage & pillion

Wife to stand at nearside of bike, place left foot on pillion peg at about 45 degrees to normal seated position. Grasp rider's shoulder with left hand and rest right hand on Top Case if fitted (makes getting on easier). Apply weight to foot peg and at same time hitch up using rider's shoulder and To...

Re: Rust free

What's a garage? An enclosed area, usually with four walls, a floor and a roof. Can be attached, integral or even remote from a main building. These structures are designed for the long term storage / disposing of low value junk which will very likely never be required again. However, it has been k...
