Re: Hill Assist
Hate this system with a passion....even the electronic handbrake on my Volvo! Is it not a basic skill to operate throttle and front brake with one hand to effect a smooth hill start? Sorry if it offends! No offence take, but I think you may have missed the point of Hill Assist, it is a great and ea...

Re: Top Box vs Panniers
I think the RT looks much better with a pair of panniers without a top-box. But I always use a top-box, because it is just the most convenient place to put my skid lid when I arrive at work!! I guess I am just not as good at filtering as some on here, but I would not do my commute (M4, J12 to J6) wi...

Re: RT v GS
I went to Barry robbsons motorcycles in York yesterday, unfortunately they didn't have a liquid cooled RT demonstrator in but they did have a GS Adventure , I must admit I felt I had more leg room on the GS and although I had set my heart on the RT there might be a new GS Adventure on the cards , I...

Re: Keyless ride
I have the keyless option on my 2015 bike, but wish I didn't! Looking at the options list in the UK you cannot have a full spec'd bike without keyless unless you are prepared to pay a lot extra! This is because the keyless option is include in the price of the LE model. Well that may have been the ...

Re: Keyless ride
The cost of a spare fob is £180 , so that's really £430 for the keyless ride with two fobs , or nothing for two keys think I will opt for. Nothing I have the keyless option on my 2015 bike, but wish I didn't! Looking at the options list in the UK you cannot have a full spec'd bike without keyless u...

Re: Heated seat connections....!
Having owned 3 (pre-LC) RT's over the last 9 years, never had a problem with the rear seat locking mechanism. On the TC, the storage space is under the tail light unit & seat itself, accessible when the rear seat is removed. Other than access to the battery, can't see why you would want to remo...

Re: Triumph trophy SE
When you say BMW UK were useless do you mean they wouldn't replace the clutch after 18K. No, I mean the first letter they sent me had; my name wrong, quoted the wrong dealership and did not answer any of the 3 simple questions I asked!!! Having owned a 1993 K75RT, 2001 R1150RT and then the 2008 R12...

Re: Triumph trophy SE
When it came time to replace my 2008 R1200RT, I really, really did not want to buy another BMW bike (after the clutch had died at 18,000 miles and BMW UK were just plain useless). So I had a long hard look at the Triumph, it is a great bike which I loved, but the dealership only put in enough fuel t...

Re: Heated seat connections....!
Am I the only one who finds the heated seat connectors REALLY annoying? Normally I firstly forget they're there! Then I struggle and struggle to separate them - even though I'm pressing the tiny release clip. Why couldn't BMW have made a wireless connection, or at the very least a connection that e...

Even nicer to have a new LC RT with the American 3 Year Warranty!! :nervous:DaygloDavid wrote: For the same reason, I took the Warranty on my 2012 RT.
It would be nice to ride around on a new LC RT with a 2 Year Warranty, but I prefer the TC, therefore, IMO, it's the next best thing for me.

Re: Comfort Seat
Corbin at twice the price of what BMW ask for the old one. Ridiculous. Not to mention that the Corbin seat adds another key to your key-ring and they do not supply the correct OEM connectors for the heated seat version, despite knowing that cutting into the BMW loom (as per their instructions) will...

Re: Corbin Dual Seat
Why oh why do Corbin insist on not making their product work with BMW OEM locksets, how hard can it be??
You pay a premium price and end up having to add a another key to your key-ring!

Re: Digital display while radio is on.
Yup, a real error by the mothership, and if past experience is any indicator BMW will not listen to us and this feature will not be given to us!
