Re: Garmin premium services
I had a look at the cyclop website, which is the service that garmin uses for their camera locations, and they state that their systems reports "active" or "live" mobile camera locations which means without interpretation that their service warns if the camera is actually there a...

Re: Garmin premium services
Just for your info, in my area there is a Facebook group of people that voluntarily post the position of mobile camera as they spot them. Most of the camera vans and laser guns are located within minutes. Garmin could use a similar service from their subscribers maybe? I would like to know if this i...

Re: Garmin premium services
The name "real time" and the brief description on the garmin website seem to suggest that the premium safety camera service will warn also of the presence of temporary (mobile) speed cameras. I would like to know from somebody that has actually used it if this is the case and if so, if it ...

Re: Navigator V - slow?
I spoke to my friendly dealer which advised to take it back for a replacement. Sorted.
I have to say that I am impressed by the service I have received by my BMW dealer, CW Motorcycles, despite being a recent customer.

Navigator V - slow?
I have purchased in March a navigator V gps to complement my R1200RT, but I am surprised by how much slower is compared to my previous gps units and in general well slower than the average for consumer electronics from this decade. The most annoying thing is the delay using the text search function ...

Question for Australian members!
I have been discussing with a potential new employer a job offer which would mean relocating to Australia either in Brisbane or Perth, and therefore I would like to hear from anyone who has lived in either of the two places about pros and cons in general of living in one or the other, but most impor...

Re: Throttle modes?
I think the answer is rather more simple. I suspect that all three modes use the same fuel mapping, the suck - squeeze - bang - blow bit changes in response to temperature, altitude, power requirement etc, not mode setting. What is being changed is not the fuel map but the response rate of the thro...

Re: Throttle modes?
In case anybody else is interested in my question from an engineering point of view, I took my bike in for her first service and my friendly and knowledgeable service manager finally gave me the technical answer I was looking for. As expected, the difference in throttle response between the differen...

Re: Throttle modes?
Read the fli**in post! the reason why I'm asking the question in the first place is that the manual is quite vague in regard.
