Re: 2016 (16 plate) R1200RT LE FOR SALE! Price reduced further to £13460.

Well, it has been sold to a BMW dealer who offered more than what it was suggested it was worth for a private sale. That means that somebody is going to buy it for it a grand more than what I was asking. Go figure!

Re: 2016 (16 plate) R1200RT LE NOW FOR SALE! Price reduced further to £13460.

In response to the two previous posts, my RT is on eBay, and is priced at least £1000 pounds less that similar bikes sold by dealers, which I believe is a fair price for a 5 months old bike with still 19 months remaining of the original manufacturer warranty; for a vehicle of such age buying from a ...

Further price reduction to £13,460...... Come on, there must be someone tempted! Only selling it because I have to, I would snatch it straight away!  :)

Re: UK headlight in Europe

I believe so. Before leaving for my short break in Normandy for the easter weekend I pointed the bike at night against a wall to check the light alignment and noticed that the low beam profile is completely flat, ie the light beam does not rise on the left as it would normally do on most vehicles.

2016 (16 plate) R1200RT LE FOR SALE! Price reduced further to £13460.

I have just received my formal offer of employment so my plan to relocate down under is going ahead. Unfortunately australian laws regarding the import of private use vehicles are very strict, and the total of shipping cost, registration fees and import duties is too high, so my 3 months old pride a...

Re: 0-4000rpm PING

I keep it above 4K rpm while riding but going from stop up thru 2nd and into 3rd have to go thru the low rpm range unless I slip the clutch. Try shifting later......If the engine drops back to less than 4000 then you are shifting too early. Also, I assume you have the quick shift if you have the pr...

Re: 0-4000rpm PING

Hi, slightly off topic response as I'm not sure if this noise is normal....... I have not heard any pinging or knocking on my 2016 LC but I believe you are labouring the engine if you open the throttle below 4000. Maybe I have not heard the pinging because my engine hardly spends any length of time ...

Re: How do you feel about the sportier nature of your RT?

I've sold my Benelli Tornado 900 RS two weeks ago. It is one of the best looking and outrageous Italian design superbike ever made according to many hardcore bikers and non-bikers who approached me at every fuel stop to have a chat about it. It sounds like a roaring lion and it gave me goose bumps e...

Re: North Coast 500 (Scotland)

My missus and I will be heading up north from Southampton to do the NC500 at the end of next week, staying in B&Bs. I'll be happy to share feedback about accommodation on our return home. All the B&Bs we have booked offer the facility to garage a motorcycle overnight. Our plan is to stop nor...

Old vs new style topbox

Hi, I'm thinking about buying a bmw topbox for my LC, I've read that the old style one will also fit the new LC racks, the difference in price is considerable so I'm wondering what are the differences between the two with regard to size and functionality? It will be used to lock our two helmets duri...

http://www.garmin.com/uk/extras-camera-alerts/ The video presentation shows two different alerts for "live mobile camera" sites and "mobile camera" sites. You are referring to the latter, I would like to know about the first. I really would like to hear from somebody that knows w...
