BMW R1200RT/R1250RT Forum

I have been mounting the bike by grabbing handlebars, standing (left foot) on the foot peg, and then swinging my right leg over. Been doing this for the last 7 years no problem with the side stand, saves kicking the side case

I own a 09 with the factory lowered suspension, never had a problem with dragging foot begs, I did it only once while cornering hard with the wife on the back, I ride fairly had but not like a idiot.

I put a Russell day long seat on mine, It was not cheap by any stretch but it was worth every penny. The shipping of your old seat and the shipping of the new seat back would probably kill you from Scottland.
