Me. I ride always with fingers covering brake and clutch levers. Really a time saver if need to slow quickly

Do you ride relaxed—-arms, hands, shoulders—-no using bars for upper body support?

Re: Display Issue

How about, just disconnect the battery for few minutes then reconnect; as a result, see if those computer control problems clear up.

Re: 2015 R1200Rt starting issue

For my 2016 R1200RTW I blip the throttle after ignition on but before hitting start button. Seems to improve ability to start time.

Re: Shift Assist problem....

Most of the time I will do clutchless 1-2 shift on my 2016 R1200RT (no shift assist on this bike) and a lot of the time I do the 2-1 shift clutchless. I think of the transmission with "slots" longer than the 'dogs" that must move into and out of these "slots"; therefore, usi...

Re: Shift Assist problem....

A little book learning and shifting review might help make the slots and dogs gear changes better? For example, I think you might like this book – "The Motorcycle Shifting Handbook: Learn the foundations of shifting. Discover the secrets of seamless clutch and clutchless shifting. Don't get a q...

Re: New RT Clutch Lever/Clutch Adjustments

Clutch lever has limited adjustment; as a result, only the numbered wheel stops on the lever handle. Also, the clutch friction zone is close to the full lever release; therefore, practice is necessary to get use to bike's clutch friction point. One suggestion is with bike off and in gear push bike w...

Re: Another newb question - boxer engine preferred revs?

The process of shifting dose take some thinking and muscle coordination to get the gears moved smoothly. A book I discovered that has some great review insight to the process of motorcycle gears and gear shifting process might just help: "The Motorcycle Shifting Handbook: Learn the foundations ...

Re: Going to buy GPS NAV 5

It was mentioned the the NAV 5 integrates to the bike's info bus and engine information may be available on the GPS screen.  I have not been able to locate this functionality and look for a clue as to where to look. I think there exists a data presentation difference between BMW bike model...

Re: 0-4000rpm PING

Could it be because the bike is operated at too-low of engine RPM all the time in taller gears; as a result, the engine carbon deposits form and that leads to fuel pre-ignition caused by the deposited carbon? So, my question would be how is the RT rider riding low-RPM or 3.5K- or above RPM as typica...

Re: Navigator Motorcycle Information Screen

Let's see if I understand the question: BMW Garmin Navigator V mounting on R1200RT bike? I have a 2016 R1200RT, installed a BMW Garmin Navigator V GPS into the Bike's prewired socket for GPS unit mounting; as a result, the Navigator V, without push-button base used, mounts directly to the bike's GPS...
