Re: Front wheel paddock stand

Thanks for the pix Our Gee. When Mrs Sullivj is prepared to let go of the bread board, I might give it a try!

Re: Newbie saying hello

Hi Duggie - welcome to the forum.

I'm close to Gatwick airport, so fairly close to you. There's a thread running about a possible southern meet up, so keep an eye on that.

Got any pictures of your new bike? We love a photo here!

Re: Front wheel paddock stand

I like the idea.

Do you have to position carefully to avoid the cooling fins, or do you just hope it'll be OK?

A steal i thought

That was a decent price. I got my 2012 in the summer, with 4,100 miles for £8,200, but it didn't have the sat nav.

Re: Front wheel paddock stand

Our Gee - Where does that locate?  Do you take the front wheel out, and put it under the fork legs?

Re: Winter Maintenance List

For me, it's not about trade in value. I tend to keep my bikes for at least 5 years, and like to keep them showroom fresh.

Re: Winter Maintenance List

Great pix David. Did you strip it down, or did they?

If they did it, and supply the ACF, £70 suddenly seems like good value.

Re: Winter Maintenance List

That does puzzle me too. For my purpose, I'll be getting an ACF-50 treatment. Are you not tempted to do it yourself? I bought 4 litres of ACF for what they charge, and that will do about 40 applications! Also, doing it yourself, you're more likely to strip the bike down a bit, and get the ACF where...

Re: Winter Maintenance List

All Year Biker have a new website, http://allyearbiker.co.uk/ , they are now offering two treatment options using different products, either ACF-50 or XCP. XCP Rust Blocker, http://allyearbiker.co.uk/featured/test-feature-2/ I wonder why they charge more for the XCP treatment, when the product so c...

Re: New vision concept

No need for a stand, as it's self balancing  :wonder:

BMW are saying that production of a self balance bike isn't likely to be before 2030 though :-(

Re: Topcase lock jammed

Where a outs are you in the UK Mack? The dealer I used was in Peterborough. There is a special tool they used (not dissimilar to a paper clip, but more rigid). It took them 2 mins to pop the barrel out.

Re: Topcase lock jammed

I've not heard of it before.

Removing the barrel isn't hard, so you could check the fins for a broken one. YouTube has lots of tutorials.

You could remove the broken fin, and it would still operate OK, but the fins are available from dealers - they normally have a box of them.
