Alternative Inner Bag - 49litre

Not wanting to pay nearly £100 (!) for the BMW liner bag, I got this one in Argos for £17. As you can see, it fits a treat. It won't appeal to the purists of course, but it does do what it needs to do. http://i921.photobucket.com/albums/ad54/sullivj/66AD30B8-D6B8-49BD-BDA6-86EB58673088_zpsejzhybqp.j...

Re: Suspension Query

I recognise that garage!

I've just done the masking tape trick!

My max differential was only 6mm, but that could be affected by the top box and lack of panniers perhaps.

Re: Suspension Query

Checked the "static sag" (without rider) on my 2012 TC RT in the three load settings. Rider only = 429mm Rider + Luggage = 432mm 2 Up + Luggage = 437mm Not a great deal of difference, but at least it shows it's working. David, Did you just put the bike on the side stand with the engine ru...

Re: Pannier won't attach - HELP!

Not sure what you mean by "the foot at the back of the case" - as far as I can see, there is no foot at the back of either case but I may be misunderstanding you... Apologies Richard, I have a 2012 bike, which I believe could be different to yours.  Mine has an L shaped 'foot', t...

I was stripping the bike down for an ACF Treatment.

Having written all that, I now realise yours has central locking, which could be entirely different - I'm not sure.

Thanks for the pics. I've concluded that my un-gloved hands (!) are just too big for little jobs like this!

Re: Pannier won't attach - HELP!

Take it off the bike. When you try and press the handle down, is the foot on the back of the case, locking up in position? If it's not moving, or feels 'springy', I suspect the fault is inside the case. Of you're not sure, compare it to the other pannier, You can have a look inside to see what's hap...

Heated seat connections....!

Am I the only one who finds the heated seat connectors REALLY annoying? Normally I firstly forget they're there! Then I struggle and struggle to separate them - even though I'm pressing the tiny release clip. Why couldn't BMW have made a wireless connection, or at the very least a connection that ea...

It sounds the same as my 2012, which I'm told was a MU, with dynamic pack.

Re: Top Case Wanted

I have one now, thanks to the help and advice from mac47 on here. Mac even dropped it to the 'not so' local dealer, so they could rekey it for me on arrival. Thanks Mac. A note to anyone looking to rekey the pre-2104 lock. If you don't have the key available, the lock position HAS to be in the LOCKE...
