Re: Airhawk vs Cool Covers Seat Covers

Slightly cheaper on AE. I used one whilst riding in the Canaries last year and it was excellent. Not sure we get enough warm weather here for it to be beneficial. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005790517560.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.33c766b34nNIrH&algo_pvid=240ea945-bdeb-498f-87c1-2...

Re: Luggage

You'll soon get used to it.

I run with the Top Box always, but only add the side panniers if I'm going on a tour.

Re: South West & South Wales Area

I’ve managed to reorganise a few things, so I can come along.

Looking forward to it.

A meet up post code might be useful... I was looking at routes to Aberystwyth bus station, but am now told it’s Abergavenny

Re: New member from SE London/Kent

Welcome Ian.

I'm close to Gatwick, so not far away. I have a 2012 with 18k.

A few of us are off to France in July. Details are in the organised trips section. Perhaps you would like to join us?

Re: The Southern Softies group meet ups

I'm out most Sundays for breakfast somewhere (Chalet Cafe - Cowfold), Whiteways, Rykas....

Shoreham Airport does a good breakfast and there's plenty of parking there. How about a Southern Softies meet up there?

Re: Insurance (again)

My RT Insurance went up from £105 to £115. I didn't even bother looking around - just renewed it. My Tesla model Y went up from £840 to £1,496 with no claims or convictions in the last 24 years! At the same time, they (Admiral) increased the comp excess from £60 to £650!!! I tried to shop around, bu...

Re: Battery Life

It depends how you treat it.

I have a 2012. My bike doesn't get ridden as often as I would like. I charge the battery if it's been left in the garage for more than three weeks.

The battery then fails about every 3 years.
