Re: After 3000 miles, am I still in love?

I have a 2007 RT things I like: - comfort - wind/rain protection - cruise control - brilliant for touring things i do NOT like: - clunk into 1st gear - the shit indicator switches arrangement - fuel strips constantly failing - recessed oil filter, hard to remove - headlight bulbs impossible to reach

Re: Anyone else?

on my 2007 RT i had all four screen "arms" break and the screen almost came off when i was riding. i replaced them with steel ones as the original ones go brittle over time and break

another BMW design fail....

Re: headlight question

yes, i ended up using a short length of garden hose to hold the bulb in place, but i still had to remove the screen and speedo surround to gain more access

an utter pain in the arse for such an everyday task

Re: DWA warning - help needed

hi, yes, looking at the comments on that webpage it looks like i am not aline and the bolts will not undo as the nuts are spinning, and they cannot be accessed at all

i will just leave it, i don't use the alarm anyway, but it seems like a pretty crap way to design it...

I regularly get 300 miles from my 2007 RT. At 55 mpg this means about 24.7 litres

headlight question

2007 R1200RT one of my headlight bulbs blew recently and I changed it. since then I have noticed that when on "dip" the new bulb is pointing in a slightly different direction to the other, this gives the impression that one side is brighter than the other when I look at the headlight the n...

Re: Fuel sensor strip 2005r1200rt

After three strip replacements on my 2007 RT I have given up trying to fix the issue. It's only annoying when I don't fill the tank up to the top.

Re: Anyone bought a bike without a test ride

I would buy a bike for under £2,000 without a test ride, if I had previously sat on one, or had some other knowledge of it, or safe in the knowledge I could sell it on easily. But... for anything over that I would need to ride the bike itself (or the same model) first, even just for a lap around the...
