Re: CarPlay screen

When I had my 2016rt in the satnav spot. I removed the original Garmin plate and fitted a tomtom mount had to remove half the front to do it but it was worth it. Needed to put some spacers between the panel and the mount so I could remove the tomtom when the bike was parked. Power I fitted a relay, ...

I piggyback the switched feed from the accessory socket ( front or rear) to a relay and a fused power feed direct from the accessible positive battery terminal.

Re: Centre stand removal

My 16 looked like that when I part exd it for a new one then before that got any damage I used a thicker vinyl tape to wrap the stand hopefully it will offer sufficient protection, certainly easier to clean.

Re: Home Servicing

I use the agent to complete the required services whilst under warranty, but any other consumables ( brakes etc) I would do my self also things that the dealer done not change often such as final drive oil. Once out of warranty I do just about everything myself. The only thing I have not don't is th...

Re: Emissions warning

Not a good idea to start the bike and just run it for a few minutes it encourages condensation in the engine casing resulting in water in your oil.
If you are going to start your bike give it a run to get warmed through

Re: R-1250-RT Differences

Many of the parts are the same from the wet head models, the Shiftcam engine means the engine bars from the earlier ones may not fit and as you have identified the lights upper fairing, screen and instruments are different but the frame lower plastics etc should be identical. I transferred some of m...
