Re: TPMS query
Yes you can but only with the aid of a decent diagnostic set up. BMW Motorrad can set it up for you or if you have one of the GS-911 Diagnostic tools then you can use this to change the display. I know it definately works as I've recently used mine to change to PSI. If your on or near the South Coas...

Re: '07 RT
Appologies for the poor quality photo's but I had to take them in the garage after getting soaked on the run home from Guildford this afternoon. Pictures are not great but it gives you an idea at least. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh277/VitaraMark/20170228_161209_zpses1xclla.jpg http://i258.p...

Re: Rear brake pads?
Personally I've never had an issue with EBC pads or disks and have run them on several bikes and cars over the years, but everyone has a different riding / driving style and this will of course have an impact on the wear regardless of which manufacturer you opt for so it's no suprise that everyone w...

Re: '07 RT
I have a Bagster on mine. In fact it's the same two tier bag that I've had for nearly 20yrs now and it's still going strong so to my mind it speaks volumes about the quality of their bags. I attach it to my 2007 RT by using their universal bag mount, which I have attached so that it's mostly conceal...

Vines Motorrad of Guildford
I had wanted to join some of the others on the Southern meet at Boxhill on the 25 th of Feb but I’ve been ill of late and things always seem worse first thing in the morning so sadly missed the 10.30am meet as I was still feeling rough. However, after I’d walked my dogs at lunch time, I got kitted ...

Re: Shaving a seat
My local guy who does this job all day every day will not use gel pads with heated elements. There seems to be varied opinions on this. I've just had my seat reshaped and a Gel Insert fitted and the Guy that has done the work is of the opinion that depending on what type of Gel is used, it's not an...

Cheap Mirror Retaining Mod
I had to take the mirrors and dash trim off today to replace a side light bulb that had popped. While doing the job I was a little concerned about how easy it was to knock the mirrors off and the potential for costly damage should one hit the ground. So I knocked up a cheap fix using a couple of len...

Re: Wanted - Cheap Heated Riders Seat
Thanks for the offer but with the post Christmas bills coming in and having just paid for the original seats to be refurbished I just can't justify another £75 for something that will sit on the shelf. Thanks anyway

Re: Wanted - Cheap Heated Riders Seat
Hi, I sent my originals off to be refurbished in the end, hopefully they should be delivered back to me by the end of next week.
However if you let me know how much you want for it I can see if I can try and justify having a spare ?

Touratech Adjustable Gear Lever
Being new to BMW ownership and after over 25yrs on different Jap and British Bikes there where a couple of things I was struggling to adapt to. One was the Indicator switches on each bar (still struggling with that but getting there slowly) and the Gear Shift and Rear Brake levers seemed to me to be...

Re: Might have made a BOO BOO ??
If you've only used Blue then it shouldnt be too much of an issue, might have been a different story if you'd used the Red stuff. If you have any concerns then it's always a good idea to apply a bit of localised heat using a heatgun or just a normal hairdryer if you don't have access to anything els...

Wanted - Cheap Heated Riders Seat
Hi, looking for a cheap Heated Riders seat for a 2005 to 2009 model. Doesn't have to be in great condition and seat height not important as the plan is to have it shaped and modified with better foam and a new cover anyway so it just needs to have a functional heater element and undamaged base, not w...

Re: Much tears...
I have to say Paggers, after todays ride, I now feel your pain. It's been well over 10yrs since I last dropped a bike but today seems to have been my day. I was an hour or so into the ride this afternoon, enjoying it and everything was going fine until I reached one particular junction on an A road ...
