Re: Removing the front shock R1200RT?

Re: Cheap tent out of a m-cycle cover

Tried it before in Zambia and it was fine in the dry but ha...

Re: starting problem

MY 2005 was similar, a few of earthing problems, ending up running separate earth wire from battery to engine by alternator bolt and starter motor bolt, seemed to solve the problem.

Re: ‘05 1200RT no ABS

Working or not bleeding that system is bad news, stay away from it but have an 05 abs unit working in my shed attached to an '05 r1200rt. My suggestion is stay away from it though.

Re: STRONG Fuel Odor

2 vent/overflow pipes, one from the fuel pump on left or the filler one goes down the rear break side and out on the bottom centre/left. This has a joint half way along it that is easy to pull apart when fiddling removing fairing. Had this on mine after a service, not reconnected and strong smell as...

Re: Safety on the road

Agree with all the above, but re hi-vis, had a motorbike ride into the back of me on my bike, orange and yellow hi-vis worn at time. Car behind had dash cam which showed me, a city link van coming in opposite direction and suddenly I disappeared as colours all merged. In the video I was not visible...

Re: BMW Warranty

I agree that BMW can be a pain, (still owe for switch gear after 12 moths that I refused to pay for), but how long does it take to check the sight glass? Do not do a full on powder check every day, but do a quick look over. I have also learnt over the years that a hot engine uses oil, ie traffic so ...

Re: 1200RT Headlight unit dipped beam issue with American import

Drive on the right in USA so dip wrong way, sleeves are an attempt to stop beam dazzling on left hand drive roads. Only proper way to do job is put left hand drive unit on bike.

Put some on mine, lose rear foot pegs and need fittings, not a straight swap.
