Mine has the same symptom. The gauge goes up to full when it reaches approximately at 1/4 full. Jumps up and down a few times and creates havoc with miles to empty counter. Ive been using the odometer as precaution and filling up every ~200 miles Honestly speaking since I got my '11 only a few month...

Two round trips in a day between Boston and Queens. 800 miles of absolute bliss (J) on a 1987 Hurricane.

I surely wouldn't want to do that today to my (50+ year old) body, even on a cush ride like an RT!

$366 for a tank bag? That's how much a genuine BMW tank bag costs on Amazon. EBay had a few on the listing, but many went for $100-$200 for well-used ones. Damn BMW? Why make things difficult for the common folk? All I wanted was a place to put my maps on the tank while I'd ride, and I did not need ...

Anyone willing to part with theirs? Silver/gray would match my rear pannier bars. Will consider other colors.
