FI Controllers?

Hello Team:

Has anyone try the EJK (Electronic Jet Kit) from Dobeck Performance?

My 2012RT came already with the K&N filter and I just installed the Akrapovic muffler. Do I really need to use a FI controller?

Hi Dave:

Is the Akrapovic the straight trough type? Can you see the opening from one side to the other?

Re: Muffler noise (more) withoput changing to Remus etc

Have you checked your spark plugs since fitting it? Just to see if its running lean or not? Has it affacted the low down torque due to the lack of back pressure? Looks good 👍 Negative. The flapper was not removed. I think the flapper valve will take care of the leaning or back pressure. Please corr...

Aftermarket exhaust?

Will the Akrapovic or Remus muffler make the bike run leaner? Do you need to perform any other modifications when you install an aftermarket exhaust?

David. wrote: Looks a perfect fit, including re-using the original clamp, what is the ID of the exhaust tip.

the header ID is 6.35cm, the exhaust tip is like 6.50cm. it was a very tight fit.

Re: Muffler noise (more) withoput changing to Remus etc

UPDATE: I removed the muffler and install a exhaust tip. Big difference but still not as loud as the Harley's but I am happy wit the outcome and the looks. The rear tire is more visible in all it's glory. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdforums.com-vbulletin/2000x2000/80-dsc00356_fc2bdd317a416d4b7...

This's from the Wunderlich Instructions for their crashing bars. But you can see the bolt here circled in red.

Re: Engine through bolt socket size?

Hello Team:

I just got the Heed bars from Poland and I am having trouble loosing the "through engine bolt". According to the instructions it will help if the front suspension is compressed. How this will help? What's the function of that long bolt?

Re: Upshifting RPM's

UPDATE: I have found that the sweet upshift spot is between 4000 and 4500RPM's. Bike pulls hard! I am loving it. Coming from regular HD V-Twins is big difference. Interesting that the 2011 HD TwinCam 96 engine vs 2012 BMW R1200RT engine seems similar. Both are dual pistons and air cooled, the CC's a...
