Re: Numb Bum

My 1999 K12LTC had the best seat ever.  BMW or otherwise.  Did the Butt Lite rally in July 1999 and did 5000 miles in 5 days, plus the ride from VA to MN.  The only real pain I had was removing my ear plugs after hours and hours of riding.  If I could duplicate th...

It spends too much time in the garage!

Re: Starter not working

Does the engine turn over by hand (take out the plugs and rotate the rear wheel).  Sitting for 18 months may have caused something to "freeze" up.

Good luck.

Re: RoadSmart III Tires

The front tire was "balanced" with over 6 ounces of weight, all on the starboard side of the wheel.  That probably caused the wobble, head shake, etc.  The tires were remounted and balanced yesterday, and all is well again.  The installer just didn't know that th...

RoadSmart III Tires

Just an FYI.  Please make sure that your tire installer knows that the YELLOW dot on the Dunlops indicates the LIGHTEST part of the tire, not the heavy part.  My installer didn't know that, or do any preliminary research, and my RS3s were mounted with the dot across from the valve ...

Re: Tank lock tank bag

Michael,

Both bags fit just fine on my 2017 RT with key less and central locking.

Happy Thanksgiving all-you-all!

Re: Tank lock tank bag

I've got the 4L and 25L Givis.  Very well made and simple to install.  The 4L is big enough for a day ride (maybe 2) holding glasses, garage door opener, etc.  It has a slot for your cell phone, but I don't use that and keep the cover on it most of the time.  The...

Re: Garmin Nav 6 'My Motorcycle' App

My NAV VI works just fine on my 2017 RT.  I ride with it most of the time, unless I don't know where I'm going, then I have the map showing.  My Motorcycle is located in the Apps and is one page down from home page.  HTH

Re: added usb power port

I added an SAE connector the the battery for my Battery Tender charger.  I also have an SAE cabled USB charger with voltage indicator.  I just have to plug it all together when I need it, and being directly attached to the battery, the RT can remain off.  HTH
