It's periodic as well not just mileage, it's coming up to 12 months since you took your wallet into a BMW dealership  :)

Re: IAM RoadSmart advanced motorcycling test...

Doing my advanced training was a requirement of being a blood biker, little did I know that it gave me a great social group from a wide variety of daily life to go on group rides with. I have done the one day DSA enhanced, plus green badge (and a red one) and a couple of bikesafe courses. You can al...

My vote is the Cardo as it just works and once connected each time you switch back on it easily finds the phone Sat Nav and your mates  :)

Re: Insurance quote weirdness.

Within the M25 some insurance companies will not even offer insurance, I presume this is because you don't have a locked garage?

Re: New BMW - not an RT

Thanks :) I will test ride a few bikes F900XR maybe a S1000XR for a laugh, don't like the look of the R1250RS and colours rubbish (depreciation is supposed to be high as well). Triumph 900 still on list! Will take out a Ducati Multistrada 950s and the 1260 GT as well...too much choice. One down side...

Re: New BMW - not an RT

Did you find the ergonomics of the F900XR OK?Did you get the BMW offer of £1000 or £500 top up on part ex, is this applied to a bike supplied in September? Is a delivery delay due to the engine coming from outside Germany or just a choice of delivery date? Roughly what should we hold out for with a ...

Re: Insurance quote weirdness.

Looks fantastic and obviously been looked after, can you elaborate on how your last one became a total loss?

One owner 8000 miles, I think I never ride my RT and still managing to do 8000 a year! They must just go to a local shop or just do one tour a year and clean them a lot!

Re: Insurance quote weirdness.

I notice that some cover has noticeably reduced over the years, I A M (cornmarket) used to cover you fully comprehensive for riding your mates bikes plus brand new bikes new for old for the first 12 months, it's now first six months (would you like to purchase GAP insurance sir) another one I find r...

Re: New to R1250 fourm, what did I do today?

The "my motorcycle" on the app gives loads of information. If you drop the bike it even shows the lean angle...-21 degrees! I moved from a K1600GT and the same thoughts of shedding weight, it will also cost a lot less to run:- New tyres every 4500 miles and that massive service at 18000 va...

Re: 1250RT vs 1250RS Exclusive

Hi

I think this is a really good question, what is the best bike to have next if you need a lighter bike.
