My RT is Dec 2016 and is the 2017 model. Colour is officially described as Metallic Platinum Bronze. I have just had a top box colour coded to match the bike and panniers and the BMW colour code is N97.

My bike definitely does not have central locking.
The left hand pannier behaves exactly as expected but the right hand pannier will only open when off the bike!
I’ll refer this to the local BMW dealer.

Thank you for your prompt reply.My bike does not have central locking.


I'll examine the rear peg that the pannier rests on. As the bike is like new and is spotless 2,500 miles I don't believe there is dirt in this area.

I have found the pannier guards on the BMW website.
Two plastic strips that are self adhesive and you have to buy the left and [size=78%]right separately.[/size]
