What are the 'Diamond symbols' on my nav route?

Hi all. I've just changed my phone and have gone to the trouble of uploading a selection of maps to the BMW Connect app. I've just been out for a ride today and put a destination postcode in the search box but when the map appears on the screen it has a selection of coloured 'diamond shaped' symbols...

Re: Software version

Hi Andybzx9r I can help you with that because I did have the latest version of the software installed by BMW Motorrad (Rotherham) on March 19th 2023 when I last had it serviced. That version is: 013_013_020 I was just wondering if there is an even more recent edition - which there may not be of cour...

I am due to have my annual service in March and would like to ask the dealer to update the software as part of this if it is required. Also...... if the software does need updating is this included with th...

Re: New Bike Advice

Hi Gixerjohn I tour a lot across Europe on my 1250RT ...... fabulous bike. I have a heavy chain which, if memory serves, is either 90cm or 110cm long. I can measure it and let you know because the length is important (ahem!) I always wrap it immediately in front of the top box on the pillion seat. I...

Hi all. Thanks for your input which has been amusing to say the least. Still not quite sure to make of it all though. I'll keep doing some research!

Compatible phone for the RT1250

Hi all The phone I currently use for my RT1250 (and everything else) is the Samsung Galaxy S10. As Samsung are now on version S23 you will see that my phone is ancient and, indeed, it is giving me a few problems (but not with the BMW Motorrad Connect side of things) so I need to replace it. I am how...

How to position an ULYS electron toll tag for France peages

Hi All Advice needed please! I now have an activated ULYS electronic fob tag which should allow me to pass through the toll barriers in France on my bike without stopping. However, I'm not sure how best to position / fix this on my bike or clothing so that a) the fob is secure b) It is read by the t...

Re: Help needed! Motorrad App with Cardo Spirit comms

Hi Tenequip. Many thanks for the advice - really helpful. I have now managed to get the Cardo synced up and all seems to be working. Have you tried to use the card with a pillion so you can talk to each other or indeed to other paired up riders witin the required range? I'd be interested to know how...

Help needed! Motorrad App with Cardo Spirit comms

Hi all. I need some help / advice / expertise please. I am trying to get my CARDO SPIRIT comms system to talk to my BMW Motorrad App - especially so that I can hear nav directions through the comms unit in my helmet. Despite pairing both the smartphone AND the rider helmet up to the unit I don't see...

Electronic payment on French toll roads

Hi all

I will be travelling through France next year and wonder if anyone can detail how I can pay tolls electronically to avoid stopping at toll booths. Also, what might I expect to pay travelling from Calais across into Germany.

Many thanks.
