Re: Visor Down?
A Couple of you seem to be missing the point of the original question. He is not worrying about a steamed up visor as he has a pinlock, he is concerned about lack of fresh air.

Re: Visor Down?
I have a Neotec II and I don't use the chin curtain which solves the problem for me. I also often adjust the screen so that the windblast hits the visor to keep it clear but keep the rain off my body which improves it even more

Re: R1250RT 2020 key fob battery change
Thanks Pete, I was not ready to use a screwdriver after only a few hours of getting my new baby. So it's more like break it open? Not a very good design, a small screw would have been preferable. Does anyone know the battery life expectancy? It only needs a little bit of force with the screwdriver ...

Re: R1250RT 2020 key fob battery change
You had me intrigued so I took mine apart... The bit outlined in red is the bit you need to pull off, the direction it moves is straight up as you look at the photo. I needed to get a small screwdriver into the joint to get it to come up as it is quite tight. For some reason it does not appear to al...

Re: Iphone mount
If it was me I would just get something like this: https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/460392 No need to get the expensive (£56) power hub if you don't want to, just get one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00W42FBF6 and run it through a small gap you leave in the zip...

Re: Iphone mount
Thanks, that’s very useful, sadly I think it means my Quad Lock won’t fit. Either of these would allow you to fit your existing case with it: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0881N14PH/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_jAkEFbVMKJEJW https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08741BFFC/ref=cm_sw_em...

Re: New kid in town and a “big” question
My only concern is if I would be able to control it fully loaded when stationary since I’m small at 5 7” and 30” inseam. Will the low seat allow me for safer manouvres?? I'm 5 5" and 29", used to have a cam head now got a 1250, had a comfort seat on the old bike and stock low seat in high...

Re: R1200rt 2009 - throttle stuck on Max :-s
The main area I don't really understand stand at the moment is why is RHS header pipe is so much cooler than my LHS even after 10secs of 5k idle. Do I have an additional problem on top of the TPS and O2 sensor or does the 02 sensor do more than I give it credit for? That said this temp difference w...

You are using it fine and there are very technical people around here but if no-one has had the same problem they are unable to contribute. But having said that please continue with documenting you diagnosis as that may be helpful to others. One thing I would say is that on the whole anything that s...

Re: Navigator vi
Got a refurbished Nav Vi from Garmin yesterday and when I look at it it is new. Not a mark on it and the terminals on the back have never been connected. Funnily when I connected it too Garmin Express for update it loaded North America and Southern Europe maps. Reconnected it and it loaded just Uk....

Re: Looking at a 2011 R1200RT on Sunday. Some questions.
Good reply from Boxflyer but I'll add a couple of minor points. Tools wise you will probably need to get some Torx wrenches but these are cheap enough, also a GS911 (computer reader) can be handy but not necessary, apart from that the metric tools you use for the Kawasaki's will work fine. If you te...

Re: Navigator vi
On my bike there are red marks on the locking pins that you can see between the top of the GPS and the surround if it is not fully home.
