Factory reset? After backing up obviously.
I suppose it's worth a try

Re: Annoying things about the R1200/1250RT LC - what are yours?
Very poor design of upper forward panels attaching tabs No locking of nav unit( solved with 05 cent sheet metal screw) Plank BMW calls a seat I have to agree on the seat, on an hours test drive it was fine. However, when you're on the bike for 6 hours it's not so good. Which for a long distance tou...

Re: BMW Motorrad 6 sat nav / flat battery
If it's an old battery that's showing signs of failing would it not be better just to replace it anyway? Next time it might let you down away from home and then its a pain in the a*#e to sort out.

Alarm Sensitivity
Can anybody give me some insight into what the factory fitted alarm's sensitivity is based on ? Sometimes just opening and closing the panniers is enough to trigger it, other times quite large movements have no effect. Yesterday stopped on the drive after a run out, alarm armed as usual, bike on sid...

Re: Speeding fines in France
Hello all I should probably not write this, but I left France a few years ago - and not been there since - and not planning to visit. France have changed quite a bit - from the country I know from all my touring on the MC there before. Now - last time - I only found impolite - arrogante P...

Re: Speeding fines in France
Back in 2015 I was driving back from Italy through France and I got flashed en route but never had a ticket turn up, led me to believe that those fixed cameras didn't really work for foreign vehicles.. is that not the case? I don't remember getting flashed but still got the ticket. Perhaps the newe...

Re: Speeding fines in France
Looks like the option to revert back to 90 km/h is going to given to some areas.

Re: Speeding fines in France
Same here. 89 in an 80 . Although my letter mentioned the cut off being 84 km/h. Dropped onto the mat last week. Don't think the French are very happy about the new limits, it was on the news every morning. Some local official or other complaining about the change. At least they make it easy to pay ...

Re: Insurance - once more probably :-)
I think it's just part of the insurance industries business model these days. Reel us us in with a reasonable premium then hike it up each year with the hope that either we don't notice or are too apathetic to challenge it. My recent experience with Hastings (which I posted on here) reflects that. I...

Re: Thinking about R1250RT
Did you test ride the bike on your own? If not why book another test and take your daughter along and get her to ride pillion.
At least you'll know what it feels like with somebody on the back.

Re: Thinking about R1250RT
I live just outside Oxford and have bought three bikes from North Oxford, including my current R1250RT. My experience with them has been very positive, found them easy to deal with and efficient when organising test rides and servicing etc. Are there better dealers out there? Possibly but ...
